Lincoln Jr. High art class news.

The Lincoln Jr. High 8th grade art classes are currently working on a shapes in spaces project. This project teaches the students how to look at the negative spaces on their art projects instead of the positive spaces. They are also learning how line is used in design. We will start a new project next week called coat of arms or family crest. This project will allow each student to make their own coat of arms or family crest that will include items such as favorite colors, music, hobbies, vacation places, and a banner with their last name.

The 7th grade general art classes are working on a symmetrical design that teaches them what symmetrical balance is (the same on both sides).
